Space Ship

In thinking of the ten images I would choose to bring on a spaceship, I was at first frustrated. How could I be satisfied with a set of ten pictures if I thought I had taken a better one at some other point? This bothered me for a while, until, at least I’d really better get over it because the spaceship was leaving rather soon and I wasn’t going to be bringing anything at all that way. So, I decided to readdress my thoughts on the assignment by instead photographing a couple of things which I really enjoy, and would appreciate. I really like mushrooms. Something about them and moss brings the whole experience of being in the woods to my mind. I think it has something to do with that being what I like to look at as I’m walking along, but I’m not sure exactly why I like them so much. Secondly, I find squirrels hilarious. They have a funny sounding name, goofy bushy tales, and if they’re not scampering around somewhere, they’re probably chattering at you loudly as you walk to class. They eat acorns too, and that’s pretty awesome. I’m happy with the group of pictures, there are a lot of animals, and nature, and one of chairs on the quad to remind me of Bowdoin. Now, it might seem strange that I don’t have any people, but I don’t think I would want that, while I would certainly want to remember the people I would be leaving behind, I would like to think I could do that without a photograph.
